I’m sure by now you all have heard about all the disasters across the midwest right now, the first being the mile-wide tornado that struck Windsor, Colorado. My cousin & his family live there. His home was one of the ones destroyed by this natural disaster.
I am still in shock when I replay his story in my head. His wife, Julie, & their 3 children, Caleb, Faith & Hope had already left their home for they day, but he was at home when it struck. He was able to get to his basement & into the bathtub, while the tornado twisted his roof & blew out the back wall of his home. His family home that is now declared unsafe to live in. He thought he would die that day. They have lost almost everything. Everything but their strength. Proof-positive of their unwavering faith is seen in this local news video with Shad & his family.
Their hearts are just as amazing as their strength. Just a few days after they lost their home, my Dad called them & they were helping an elderly woman at her destroyed home. Selfless. What more can I say to describe them? These are the random acts of kindness that we all should desire in our hearts.
I’m asking for your prayers, your support, your encouragement for my family in these times. If you are able & your heart is leading you, please bless this family with much-needed kids clothes: boy size 10 with shoes size 4-5, or girls’ clothes sizes 8-10 or 6x-7, and girls’ shoes sizes 3 or 12. You can send them, or a simple note of encouragement, to the family at this address:

If you are able, you can send direct funds to their Disaster Relief Fund at their bank using the following information:

Please lift this family in your prayers & everyone that has been affected by these disasters. Keep them in your thoughts & know how deeply appreciated it all is to them. Go hug your loved ones & tell them that you love them.
