Around our home, spaghetti is a constant. 9 times out of 10, when we ask Miss Sophia what she would like to eat, the simple reply is”Pasta”. So nights like tonight, not only do we use the heavy-duty craft bib for dinner, we ALWAYS do a bath immediately following. Summer months, when it’s warmer, we’d let her go topless (stop gasping) & that’s when her eating frenzy would really go all out. Can you tell this is her favorite?
UGH!!!!
Dear loved ones & fellow bloggers,
I am so sorry to do this, but I need to begin this thing called “word verification” to comments on my blog. I keep getting annoying spam comments on my posts. It won’t make the comment posting any harder for you. (Just hopefully annoy them to not take the time) It will simply ask you to type the word you see in a box prior to your comment posting. I really hope this gets rid of those jerks out there who waste our time with there advertising “comments”.
Please keep the comments coming, loved ones, though. Its so fab to hear from y’all! Again, my apologies that one bad apple has to spoil our fun.

I LOVE THE FALL!!! Okay, maybe not as much as a California summer, but fall is a close second. No one can deny the beauty of all the amazing colors that God paints in to nature, this time of year. And who can resist ANYthing that has the warm comfort taste of pumpkin & spices? Not I! For me, fall is the door-opening season to the holidays, which welcomes cozy food, time with loved ones… and boots. Ok, so my shoe passion snuck in to my thought process there.
To “celebrate” Griff’s fall break from school, we visited the Indianapolis Zoo today. Now that Sophia is a little older, she is growing to appreciate the animals that she sees & can relate better to them in their habitats, and their actual size, when she reads her books about them. We got to watch a dophin show, see elephants & “buthafo” (buffalo) eating, & feed lorikeets. Sophia was a little confused when she heard the seals “barking”, though. She kept saying “neighbor’s dog?” since they pratically sound the same. We rode the carousel together, but she was a little leary about the animals on it, so we sat on a bench & she said “WHEE!!!!” the whole time.
